Contemplations in Retrospect

To think that I was beyond the days of

Aphorisms,

in retrospect was the first step,

in a room with endless stairs.

Assurance: my ART-

to convince myself

blinded (purposely) from relative

TRUTH

Confident I had been-

the vacant, vacuous days of the vast void.

Solitary without reminders/nostalgia,

Boasted, flaunted my newly conceived independency.

But today, when I thought the end had been reached,

did I realize,

my pride push away when I saw imagination run away with

another.

The pain to try to return you to me,

will be far less haunting than to

living without you and,

watching…
