Love or Life?
In a distant land there lived a newlyweded couple. Jacob Alexander Charles III had married a peasant woman, who loved him more than the stars in the heavens, and he loved her just the same. Once the celebrations were over, they got settled down into their brand new castle, that his mother and father had built for them with their own two hands. The king and the queen lived happily in their new castle, for everyday they would go walking around the castle to see if they could find any new passage ways or rooms that were hidden away from everything else. Wanting only themselves to know all the secrets of the castle, they memorized every single place and everyway they could get there.
One day, while the queen was walking down a hallway, she noticed a brand new door that she had never noticed before, and when she turned to ask her husband about the door he wasn't there. Over thrown with curiosity, she decided to explore the room by herself. As she opened the door she heard a faint voice singing a melancholy tune. She jumped as soon as she saw the creature who with out a doubt was the sorce of it all. It was an old woman with long grey hair, and a face so complex it looked as if it was put together wrong. Her nose was right between her eyes with a very crooked teeth sticking out of her mouth. She wore only a black cloak and it hands with folded and placed neatly in her lap. As soon as the woman noticed the intruder she unfolded her hands and drew out a long finger, with an even longer fingernail, and motioned the young queen to come to her. The queen, not realizing what she was doing out of shock, walked closer to the old woman and once she was completly in, the old woman reached the door and slammed it shut.
