Wrapped in your warm embrace

In a field of newly sprung buttercups

I hold one to your chin and softly giggle

Your strong laughter resonates off of the trees

We walk to a lake surrounded with rocks and

Harsh sand

You hold me closer and whisper in my ear

“Don’t worry, I’ve got you”

I smile at the comforting thought

Submerged in the cool abyss

Everything else seems to disappear

A small blue fish begins swims around us

You become captivated by its beauty

The fish swims deeper into the darkness

You mindlessly follow

As winds pick up

And waves start to form

It’s all beginning to spin out of control

Oh no you’ve forgotten me

I’m too weak to fight against the water

I’m washed up on the rocks covered in welts

And I’m slowly beginning to die
