Tyranny over a little child,
Forced to grow up in the world,
Learning survivor instincts and crap,
And they asked her how she turned out like that.
--
Some stuff we learn from young,
The norm- eating talking learning how to run.
Some 'special kids' have it worse,
Scolding fighting learning to curse.
--
Words heard through a concrete wall,
Life heard and secrecy,
Silence and defening oppression,
It was her world, constant depression.
--
'Fuck you damn you its all your fault',
Was this the light she sought?
Soon all those words became ingrained,
Into her vocabulary into her brain.
--
A cold world of darkness and silence,
Broken by slamming doors and yelling voices.
A little girl staring around confused,
Imagine the kind of mental abuse..
--
Learning how to remain silent,
As they glare at each other day after day,
Remain quiet remain unseen,
There was no escape in this particular dream.
--
Toys books all those she had,
It was always the memories they never shared.
All she could remember besides the bitterness and tears,
Was a young woman looking way too old for her years.
--
Memories- a hazy passing dream
Experiences- a little child never should had seen
Life- she was a bitter mistake
Happiness- it was never hers to take
--
All the anger and the pain,
On the girl left a stain.
Growing up to be cold and distant,
There were some lessons she never learnt.
--
Happiness joy having a conscience,
Those she considered redundant.
Anger coldness bitterness pain,
To her it was all just the same.
--
Now she has grown up,
Just another depressed teen.
Faint memories of a distant painful dream,
No one would ever believe what she had seen.
--
Her friends her enemies her supposed loves,
Never knew anything about the little girl.
She told them 'what they saw was what they got',
That little excuse they had always bought.
--
Suffering alone in her agony,
She continues to act out her dark comedy.
Her laughter her tears all the dark years,
Just another amusing travesty.
--
Her emotions her pain in this dark world,
Revealing the emptiness continues to swirl.
Who is going to rescue her from this?
Who will willingly walk into the abyss?
