Author’s Notes

First of all I’d like to thank everyone who reviewed. If it weren’t for y’all I’d still be sitting at my computer thinking that everything I wrote sucked… and I probably wouldn’t be writing as much. So again, thanks. And a special thanks to Amanda for sticking with me and for introducing me to piano rock.

I began this story on February 19, 2005 and completed it on April 22, 2005. The whole thing was inspired by my close friend Amanda’s search for her piano rocker. Though I’m developing my writing style, this story showed me how weak my main characters are. Look to see me improve on that in the future.

And now… a few facts about From A to Z:

Zeke’s character was inspired by Andrew of Something Corporate.

While I wrote this story I relied on the musical stylings of Something Corporate, All American Rejects, Maroon 5, and Ben Folds.

Alex’s last name was derived from “Cavanaugh Park”, a song by Something Corporate.

Zeke’s last name has absolutely nothing to do with that ever-trendy clothing line.

Originally Zeke’s last name was Cavanaugh and Fitch was his nickname.

Though unstated whether their pier was on the east coast or west coast… I always imagined the west coast.

Jordan, the ex-boyfriend, owes his name to the song “If U C Jordan” by Something Corporate. He makes me… sick.

This story is dedicated to Amanda… may she find her piano rocker.

I haven’t included sculpting in a story since I was twelve.

There is a vague possibility of a sequel.

That’s all folks. If you want anything further from me you can e-mail me. Be sure to check out my up and coming works, which probably won’t come about until after this busy April. Thanks again, everyone. Wishing you happy reading & writing… --Heather.
