Frosca
A tiny little blonde girl wanders along the path, the busy city all around her waking up as offices begin to turn the wheels of the world. The child's mother looks at her watch for the hundredth time and tries to encourage the girl to walk, just a little faster. The girl stoops to pick something up, her mother looks at the item in the girls hand.. It is a piece of gravel, large in the tiny girl's hand. The mother tells her child, with a measure of exasperation, to put the pebble down. The girl quietly pockets her treasure, then, quite suddenly, she stops. The mother looks at her child "what is it?"
"I'm waiting for Frosca"
The mother sighs "come on, Frosca will catch us up" she says, looking down the empty street. The little girl watches her pet cat playing with a fallen leaf, the mother watches a fallen leaf blowing in the wind.
I can't remember now, what the cat looked like. I tried looking for her once, but all I found was autumn leaves.
