Grandfather

The stories he told,

The laughter he brought,

The thoughts he thought,

About politics,

And things,

And he could lie there,

Paranoid and scared,

Yet with the same the same wonderful,

Mind,

Same stories and beliefs,

No matter what,

No matter that it was a hospital,

Or his house,

He still could smile,

He still could talk,

He still could think,

Maybe too much,

But that was,

Him,

Paul,

Husband,

Father,

Uncle Harry,

In the hospital or not,

The same person,
