Alias by: TAS

As I look out over the land

Exchange of names goes on behind

The wind runs its fingers through my hair

I lay chin down and stare

Pretending I'm there alone

And there's no one by my side

I sigh and lay my head down

Hoping to hide my frown

I am but an alias

A name…taken, used

I am not a person

Unless you count abused

Was invited to play a game

I seldom would have tried

I risked being humiliated

To hopefully be affiliated

Only there because of another girl

Should have gone on my way

Why did I even stay?

Self esteem deflated

I take my name tag back

Smile at the new owner

But sincerity lack
