Shadows of the Moon, My ever Endless Light

As the day travels on, slowly becoming the night,

The moon fills the sky, covering all in pale light,

I stand alone in the shadow of the moon,

Only able to look on into the glowing darkness,

A spectator ever more.

There is a person who looks down at me,

They understand me like no other,

I may not see them,

But I know their there,

Reflected in the light of the moon,

Smiles shone through the night.

I’m forever in shadow,

The light shines around me,

But never at me,

Don’t cry for me,

This is no pain,

Or punishment from above.

I am happiest in the Dark,

With the Moon shining above,

My only light in endless night.

My ever endless Moon.

My ever endless light.
