What’s the point of living?

When there’s naught worth living for.

The world won’t care for giving,

Or it wastes life wanting more.

Treasures are in gold,

Not literature or health.

The tales of the wise and old,

Are all forgotten wealth.

Do you know Narcissus?

So vain, loved himself?

Or what about Jesus

Who sacrificed himself?

Was it all in vain?

Life’s become a chore;

It’s become mundane.

And yet there’s always war…

When’s the next rebirth;

Another Renaissance?

This is now our earth;

This state of nonchalance.
