Today I closed my eyes
Walked through shadowed crystal doors
Whispered rose petals and shattered glass
Heard the words we once ignored

And I watched you fading softly
Soul lost to what never was
And I know that you could not be
The dreams that they so loved

I reached out to hold your hand
Found cold shadows lingering
I wonder where you've been
To forget it all so easily

Night slipped upon your shoulders
And wrapped you in its depth
And I wish I could remember
Who we were before we met

Our diamond iced defenses
In wicked shards adorn the street
Silence shrieking sharply in our ears
A reminder talk is cheap.
