Welcome Home
Long years spent in dire loneliness and phantasmal longing,
An occasional glimpse of Your being and Memory’s spark warmed my heart,
Staving off frostbite, even as the cold surged—bearing down and yawning,
That merciful crucible of your soul-strung arms kept me sane, they did not part,
Enveloping me in dreamy Kingdoms, placid realms set by magic from the start.
Yet, ends ultimately transit through Time’s proper nodes, and thankfully so!
That greedy, life-sapping Season of Thirst is at last done—I walk without combusting,
Standing in my darken best, patiently receiving you, calmed by love and snow,
Joyous in liberation, satisfied in future’s prospect, content with time and trusting,
Your unhidden, silken beauty—augmented by wings repelling woe.
Universes shake, dimensions die, now mere cogs for Us--from quaint sea to crystal dome,
We lord over blasphemous Time itself as whole worlds our commerce doth reap and sew,
Creative acts of word and spirit birth enchanted Empires known in no ancient tome,
With futures before Us, with pasts winking near, and always an undying love in tow,
Impossibilities, faint probabilities, and amplified dreams become Actual—
Because You are here—
WELCOME HOME!
