Kassix closed her eyes, touching two fingers to her temple. There was a strange sensation, a feeling, like….like….like a voice in her head….

Just as sudden as it had appeared, the feeling faded.

Opening her eyes, the Shifter looked about, the hand on her head moving down to rest lightly on her chest. That feeling, that strange sensation…it had felt oddly familiar…why? Why did it feel familiar, and yet so foreign, so strange, at the same time?

Her hand fell to her side and she closed her vivid eyes once more. A passing wind ruffled her hair and clothes, bringing a sharp, crisp scent with it. The feeling had returned.

“Someone…” Kassix’s eyes opened a tad, and she leaned eagerly into the wind, eyes half-closed and a dreamy expression on her face.

“Someone’s calling me,” she whispered.
