Still Love Me
I'm swimming in an ocean of blue, purple and black
In search of yellow,
the shapes around me are haunting,
reminders of the horror of this world.
Innocence has left us,
Even children hurt and kill,
What happened to your perfect world?
Where have you gotten to?
I thought you weren't supposed to leave me!
I thought you were here to stay!
I thought you loved me,
I thought you weren't ever going away.
But how can you be here?
In this wretched place?
How can you stand to watch?
This disgusting race!
Your people kill, murder and rape,
They take what they can and and give nothing back!
I am guilty of this too,
And I'm supposed to belong to you.
I thought you said I was hidden with you,
I thought that meant they couldn't get me.
I thought that meant I wouldn't hurt,
I couldn't get hurt.
But I was wrong.
I have hurt, and I do hurt,
I live this life and I'm trying,
Please know that I'm trying,
But it just isn't working.
Please tell me that you still love me,
Tell me that I am made pure,
Please Papa,
tell me you still love me.
