"I take, I look, I dare, I die" By Cassandra Freiborg 2/14/05

I take a drink,
fall into dreams,
each day is worse,
flooded with bad memories.
I take a drink,
and feel so numb,
I hate the look on my face,
I wish it was gone.
I look into your eyes,
and see your accusing glare,
I've nothing to say,
to the face in the mirror.
I look into your eyes,
see the bloodshot smirk,
"You don't deserve to live,
you belong beneath the dirt!"
I dare to dream of death,
sweet ascape within a gun,
he lurks behind each corner,
he's probably having fun.
I dare to dream of death,
that meaningful last breath,
I slowly sink away,
and finally, I rest.
