The withered petals of the rose
Fall freely to the floor below
Yet smell as fragrant to the nose
The wind arrives, and dare you let go
The mighty winds that whirls about
Sweeps all away in a splendid show
The wrinkled petals take the route
Free to fly away, forever
Flying day in and day out
Wish them luck with their endeavor
'Cross the waters and the lands
Seen again only by whomever
Is the lucky soul that stands
In the middle of the beauty's way
Until they blow away much like the sands
That fall into the river with each day
Due to the rivers splash and flow
All within nature's delicate survey
