Breaking Freefall
Dawn creeping long and narrow
Stripes of shadows
Whispers of bars
She watches with shuttered eyes
Hears with shuttered ears
The dewdrop eye
The staccato pipes
Dimly dimly some sonata lingers
A laugh once cherished and still sweet in sound
Is only now
Bitter
Dawn creeping long and narrow
The tightrope sways
The laugher laughs
There's nowhere left to fall or shatter
No where else for darkness to creep
Outside the dawn is hatched.
While Inside
Inside
The mirror shatters.
The laugher laughs.
...And she screams!
