When i see my soul's true mate
I start to shake and shudder.
For dispelled in me is all hate,
And I love all like a brother.
A cry in me of eternal love
Doth take my breah far away
To the place so far above
That we hope we see someday.
And while in the clouds my soul doth soar,
I hear your voice come near me,
Saying that you do in fact abhor
Such a person that's so ugly
As the one that bows at your feet.
And with such word my soul doth plummet,
For its love did forever replete,
And down I come from the summit
From whence God's glory carried me.
But one that wouldn't have the love of one,
Shouldn't have the love of any.
Thus is gone my soul's sacred sun
Which showed me your beauty.
Now away go I for greater glory.
