So I spoke in caution

For fear of what I'd say.

In the air I could feel the tension,

All through that fateful day.

So I silently spoke to you,

Praying you'd hear my plea.

I know that hate for you is true,

But why, I could not see.

I still love you more than life,

Is that hard to understand?

I want you to be my wife

That I may forever hold you hand.

In such a way I'll always be near

To aid you my love, my dear.
