This is another one of my fave poems that I've written. There's no real reason or hidden message behind this. It just kindof popped in my head while I was listening to some depressing rock music (well, i was kindof mad at my parents, so that probably helped...) Again, even if you just wanna tell me it sucks, tell me anyways!!! R&R!!!

It’s My Life

You think you know me

You think you understand me

But you don’t

And you wont

You invade my life

You take my dignity away

You try and control me your way

I cry

I try, to understand

Why you won’t let me make a stand

I want to scream, I want to shout

“Let go of my life and get out!”

You think you know me

You think you understand me

But you don’t

And you won’t

You think you know best

You won’t let me do the rest

Don’t you think I’m fit

To run my life and make it?

To make the right choices

And listen to my own voices

Don’t you believe in me?

Why can’t you leave me be,

Just for a moment I want to be me

Not he, or she, just me!

You think you know me

You think you understand me

But you don’t and you won’t

My individuality

Is part of my personality

My life is my own

I’m not a clone

All I wish is for me

To be free
