Of all the horses
No matter how many jewels the princess wore, she wouldn't be satisfied nor happy.
Once, there was a land so distant and far, that a single fly would not have been able to find its' way to it.
Here, lived a princess, oh such a beautiful princess!
Her body was embellished with nothing but the finist silk and the glorious jewels of the rarest places. Her finger alone carried jewels that were worth billions of money and her simplest of dresses had gold woven into it.
Ah, but as always, the princess had a problem.
For no matter how many jewels she wore, she could not be satisfied or happy.
One day, the princess was feeling terribly depressed.
So, the princess called upon her personal servant.
"Yes milday?" The servant asked.
The princess nodded her head and told him,
"I do not feel happy with my things. While I am bored, there is a Sun shining gloriously outside and a field that is waiting to be galloped upon. Fetch me the most handsome horses you can find and bring them to me."
"As milday wishes, I shall do," And with that, the servant left.
When the servant returned, he brought the horses of the finest cloak and hoves that were hard. The princess was entirely grateful, so grateful, that she asked the servant to come and gallop with her.
And so, the servant accetped.
The two galloped across the field, laughing all the way through.
The princess could not have been any more happier.
So, she the next day, she told her servant,
"Buy me more horses, so that my other ones do not get lonely, then, I shall be more happy."
The servant did as what was commanded and came to the palace with more horses of the best kind.
The princess was so delighted, she invited the servant to gallop with her again.
And the servant agreed.
The princess and the servant galloped through the fileds, with horses circling them.
...and the princess was happy.
The next day, the princess told her servant,
"Buy me some baby horses, so that when the bigger ones die, I may have some more to play with."
The servant bowed and left, but as he entered the horse shop, he was astounded as there was no more horses left!
The servant went to the horse keeper and begged him if he had any more horses for his fair lady.
The horse keeper nodded and said,
"I have but only one horse left. He has a clock that is softer than silk and teeth as healthy as any other horse."
The servant was delighted and asked is he could buy the horse.
The horse keeper shook his head and replied,
"Ah, this horse cannot be bought with money, but in blood. Work for me, and quit your job as a selfish girl's slave. For I have heard that you were a mighty blacksmith at heart. Then, if you continue to make horseshoes for me, I shall give you the horse."
The servant went back to the princess and told her this.
The princess replied,
"Very well, as long as I have more horses to keep me happy, than go to the old man."
The servant bowed and said,
"As milday wishes."
So the next day, the servant left and a horse was delivered to the princess.
The princess was delighted and rode the horse, along with her other horses.
She was, however, depressed that she had no one to ride with.
So, she ordered a maid ot take her servant's place.
But the maid was too timid, and was not a joyful companion as her personal servant was.
She asked the butler to join as well, but he was too stiff and rode the horses silently.
She asked the cook!
She asked the other servants!
But none could take the place of her personal servant.
...and the princess was sad.
Until everything is lost, will you enjoy the things you had.
