deep blue chosen daffodils running in and out of composition the sky beat red the sky blood red somewhere inside her the voices are screaming somewhere inside you the devils are dancing, no one ever saw her giving up the truth but she did she did she did and it’s you, it’s you who needs to look for her words needs to dig past her lies
(deep deep into the surface past her devastating cries)
she’s twirling in and out of consciousness the daffodils won’t save her the daffodils betrayed her, raw-faced, laws traced up her arms with toxic ink, she’s sucking toxic air into her lungs her breath is hot a fever pouring out of her mouth and you’re still clawing fruitlessly hopelessly despondently at her throat can’t get past her surface
(trying too hard maybe you’re trying too hard look at her face you’re trying too hard)
oh she won’t notice if you slip the poison into her veins will she see your guilty face, probably not because she’s sweating silver bullets out her skin acid leaking from behind her eyes like soooo many colorless lies, the ones she’s been selling you all this time
truth be told you’d rather end it now.
so here we all are it’s raining flowers on the dirt an epitaph that reads in already dusty letters “absolutely nothing” god what would she have thought what would she have said if she had seen the thoughts pouring from your head, walk away slowly don’t let it hurt don’t let it get you that she’s lost in the dirt
(with sand up her dress, you can only imagine what that’s like)
and now…it’s your turn
to feel your way through the smoky chamber coughing up your knowledge to a Greater Good and dancing with the daffodils, you look behind the glass and your toxic breath is fogging the clarity but you’re sure she’s standing there looking back at you with stolen eyes, and you believe you hear a stolen voice telling you, “it’s not your fault”
inexperienced, you believe every word she says
