This was slightly inspired by 'Cartouche' by Blackmore's night. But then again it was even more inspired by my mom asking me to do it. Not much more to say, really. Constructive criticism is... desired.

Shadow Dance

Moonlight falls across the stream,

Twilight turns to night.

Shadows whisper, banshees scream,

Chase away the light.

Silver lights appear and fade,

Voices softly sing,

Fairies dance around the glade,

Round their fairy ring.

Faster still they fly and dance,

Past the crumbling tower,

Whirling in their endless trance,

On the Witching Hour.

As the darkness fades away,

Onward they are drawn,

Spread their wings and fly away,

Bringing forth the dawn.

The magic vanished with the night,

Like a passing dream,

And the fairies left, in flight,

Ripples on the stream.
