Chapter one:

“The dark halls”

Joe ran through the empty corridors of the high school. It was 10 p.m.; no body around.

He glanced behind him; someone or something was following him. He heard a sound being emitted from the everlasting darkness behind him. It sounded like someone breathing and snarling at the same time. It sent chills down his spine.

Two pin-pricks of light shone out from the dark. A pair of evil soulless lights that just glared at him.

Suddenly, without warning, a missile shot out from the darkness at him. Joe only had enough time to catch a quick glimpse of large razor-sharp claws that cut through the darkness like large knives. Before he knew it, he was thrown to the ground. He slammed into thelinonioum tile floorlanding painfully on his arm.

A sharp pain alerted him to the immense cut that ran across his forearm. As tremendous pressure was being bared upon the wound, he scrambled to his feet, ignoring the pain.

The lifeless lamps gleamed at him deep in the dark.

Watching him…

Waiting for a moment of weakness…

A moment of which to attack…

Authors note; I know right now it doesn't make sense, but i wanted to create a scarysenerio for Joe. This was going to be quite a scary chapter of my book, but that quickly went off track as you will find out later...
