The night falling

The day ends with a soft breeze

A wild pink sky is captured

In the suns leaving light

Just as it makes its majestic exit

I look up to see the moon

Making a grand entrance

While little diamonds begin to

Highlight the sky

The moons light is cast upon

The dew soaked grass

And I can remember when I sat there

Caught by the grace of night

The moon was full,

Not yet changed by time

It was completely dark now

And a shooting star caught my eye

I made a wish

Hoping the beauty of it all

Would never fade to time

Though I knew it would,

The stars would fade into the newly golden sky

And the moon would make its grand exit

Once again the sun would light the earth

And hide the night

Even though the day took the night from

Moon, I will always remember

Dusk fading

And the night falling.
