impaled like a butterfly
on an insect hunter's card

he's tethered to our earthen bed
and lashed by comet fire
a fallen god of mythic dead
strung up by burning wire

we have an understanding
jeweled hunter of the sky
he's frozen and he's fighting
star-trapped, and so am I
