Mint

I stick a candy in my mouth,
As it touches my tongue,
A burst of flavor comes forth.

Sweet and spicy,
Subtle and strong, I
t has the texture of glass.

As it melts in my mouth,
The smell floods my nostrils,
Especially as I breathe out.

The candy slowly disappears,
Cutting into my tongue
As I let it dissolve.

Now it is all gone,
But the flavor still remains,
A taste I will never forget.
