Can you hear my silent tears?

I cry them in the night,

You have no idea that I,

Would cry them out of fright,

Listen to them slide right down,

Into the body of my soul,

Wish that I could make them end,

They’ve begun to take their toll.

-

What is it now? Could this be?

You’ve heard them these silent tears,

You know not, why I cry,

But you’ve chased away my fears,

Driven them back, from my soul,

From my eyes; and now they’re spent,

How could you, unknowingly,

Show me what I need but spent?

-

Your hand rests, upon my cheek,

You’ve wiped away my tears of pain,

I never thought the day would come,

When one would see, without disdain,

And comfort my, repressed heart,

Let me know you understand,

Tell me you will help me through,

Truthfully say you’ll take my hand.

-

I can’t help but love your want,

To help, but you confuse me so,

I don’t know how you discern,

What is real and what I show,

But somehow you’ve realized,

How it is I’m bearing,

And now I know not what to do,

None ever bothered caring…
