Atlas' Burden
by: trista groulx

I know I'm asking you to carry Atlas' burden
I'm asking for you to move a mountain for me
But I think I've done it once or twice for you
And I need to know someone will try for me
Even if it's all the same in the end
At least I'll know I can be worth the fight
I know I'm asking you to carry Atlas' burden
I'm asking for you to move a mountain for me
But I've done it once or twice for you
And I'm trying it again!
Show me you're willing to try for me
For what we had
For my sanity
It's just a second chance
To try with more honesty
To try with better communication
With the truths in the light
For us both to see this time
Not for one to know and one to wonder
I know what I'm asking you to do
It feels like Atlas' burden
It feels like you're moving a mountain
But I've done just that
I'm trying once more
Why can't you do the same?
