Never To Rise Again

All music has stopped,

So has your heartbeat.

The mountain has fallen,

Just like your chest.

The sun has faded,

Just like your eyes.

The gentle breeze has ceased,

Just like your breath.

I watched you lay there,

As you slowly drifted,

and as I kept my tears at bay.

I watched, I waited, I hoped it wouldn’t end this way.

But your eyes closed.

Then your breathing stopped.

And like your chest, my hopes never rose again.

A/N: I guess this is like my poem "It Has Ended" just in different words. I dedicate these two poems to my uncle, who I lost recently. Don't worry everyone, I'll have better poems up for you in time to come. :)
