3.

“Hello Adara.” Jason said, and he kissed me softly “You found me.”

Oh… it was the game we used to play. Ditch class and find the other person. When you find them, your reward is a kiss.

Good game.

“Natalie! Jason! Whyy aren’t you in class?”

Uh-oh. Busted by the principal, Mr. Gyster.

At looked at him wide-eyed. He could see Jason. Jason was here. Jason was solid.

Mr. Gyster didn’t think it was weird that Jason had come back from the dead.

God, I sure did.

Help.

“We were just…” Jason stammered.

“What class do you have now?” Mr. Gyster asked

“Math. Mr. Testa.” I answered.

“History, Mr. Bilins.” Jason said.

“Do your teachers know you’re gone?”

“Yes.” I replied.

“No.” Jason stated.

Mr. Gyster looked at me. “Mr. Testa nkows you’re gone?” I nodded. “And where,” Mr. Gyster continued, “Does he think you are?”

“The bathroom, but I saw…”

“So,” Mr. Gyster interupted, “You’re here in an empty hall, alone with a boy, on top of him when I found you…”

“Mr. Gyster, if we were gonna make out…”

“Be quiet Mr. Murry. You are already in quite deep yourself. No need for more trouble. Now, your parents will be called and you will each receive a Saturday detention.”

“For what?” Jason asked.

“For, number one, being disrespectful and interupting while I talk, number two, for cutting class, and number three, for kissing. At this school we have a no PDA rule, Jason. I, for one thought you were better than to sneak out of class just to kiss a girl.”

He was talking about me as if I were an object.

“Now,” Mr. Gyster continued, “You will each return to class. Jason, I expect you to go straight to your classroom. Miss Henders, come with me, I need to speak with Mr. Testa.

We walked back to my class in silence. Mr. Testa’s eyes widened when he saw me walk in with Mr. Gyster, but he kept teaching as I took my seat. He assigned us some work in our math book and went to go talk to Mr. Gyster. Luckily, Mr. Gyster was known for always talking loud, so I could hear them.

“One of your students, Natalie Baron, told you she was going to the bathroom. Is this correct?” Mr. Gyster asked Mr. Testa.

“Yes.”

“She didn’t go to the bathroom. She went to kiss a boy.”

“Oh come on Mr. Gyster, use make-out, it sounds so much better.” Mr. Gyster glared at the boy interupting. He tried to lower his voice.

It didn’t work.

“Now, I know you couldn’t know, but may I request that you won’t let Natalie out of your class for any reason?”

“Yes, of course.”

Michelle turned and looked back at me. I raised my eyebrows at her and gave her a half smile.

Mr. Gyster left and the whole class turned around and looked at me.

“Hey.” I said loudly.

“Nice, Natalie!” A popular girl, Sara exclaimed.

“Natalie, why did you do that? You honestly thought no one would catch you?” Michelle asked.

“I wasn’t kissing him. Well, I was, but I didn’t mean to…I fell… it was a game.. but he’s dead, so it isn’t possible…”

“Ok, are you feeling alright?”

I shook my head. “Do you remember Jason dying, Michelle?”

She looked at me as if I were insane.

“I have to find Ian.”

Bring! The bell rang.

“Ian? Ian Thomas? Natalie, you’re crazy! Why?”

Because I could tell if we were still going out of Friday by the way he looked at me.

“Natalie?” Michelle said.

“I gotta go.”
