A Winter’s Day.

Winter with her icy hand,

Now stalks the barren land.

Freezing rivers, killing trees,

Chilling us with her icy breeze.

Snow falls upon the ground,

Falling…without a sound.

Cold and bleak does the landscape look,

Like a pretty picture in a book.

The nights turn as black as coal,

Small animals hibernate in a hole.

The freezing winter weather brings

The robin to fill us with what he sings.

A winter’s day is always dark

So the days to spring we always mark.

We always wait for the sun to appear,

To light up the Earth that we hold so dear.
