Author: keyne89 It started out as something else, but sort of... shaped itself into this. Not my best work, and it probably doesn't make much sense to anyone but me... R&R

Brighter days of triumph
faded now to sight
'Twas once a brilliant memory
now faded from the light
I would live alone
where none would care to dwell
caught between the heat and ice
between the heaven and the hell
What once was known as smiling
has fallen far away
broken and shattered, beaten and battered,
with nothing left to say
I would live in heartache
remembering these things
recalling all the simple times
as the lazy blue bird sings
When once, at last, I heard it
I let the rain fall
soaking muddy carpets
I would forget it all
These people, once, I saw them
now they're clear and unstable
a sweet translucent element
as if from a childhood fable
I once called this paradise
back when I knew my home
now I'm looking for that place
that I may call my own
I would live forever
beside the meadow springs
but home's a dirty word
and the blue bird no longer sings
------
I know, lots of people I showed it to said it was confusing. Plus, I didn't do a very good job keeping the rythm. Eh, first post in forever. LOOOOONG story...
