Quiet sadness
Momentary Madness
Reminds her of her tears
Returns her to her fears.
Sitting alone on her chair
Skin white and fair
Dark black cloak covering
Her up, lowly hovering.
Her eyes well up
Reflected in the golden cup
The tears start to fall
Down her face they crawl.
Twisting and tumbling
Closer she is fumbling
Each moment is more aching
Than the next, she is shaking.
Her tears start to dance
She missed the chance
And now it’s gone
She’s only the pawn
In this tiny game
And gets the whole blame.
Goodbye to sweet freedom
She slowly becomes numb.
Glistening, tantalizing
The salty liquid petrifying
She is weeping
Her soul is keeping
Her from breaking down
She lowers her crown
Looks out the window
Onto the burning meadow.
One by one they fell
Each one sounding a small bell
In her head. She cried
Didn’t want to be defied.
Dancing tears
Returned her to her fears
Momentary Madness
Quiet Sadness.
