A+ A- |
tucked away neatly between your
lovely silver arms and the
moonlight that seemed so bright
(It was our spotlight and our symbol
of that -hope-)
listening to the whispers you said
would mean everything,
then forever never looked so real,
and I was
sliding down that rainbow of
pure poetic glory
like raindrops down your face
soaked in these, kisses so
intox-ic-at-ing
and simply beautiful.
I believed with everything
that we could always
fly to (you know where-
that place with magic like
notes in that
song we sang -to each other-)
but it seems that dreams,
always slowly, gracefully
leave us- hopeful and
so very disappointed.
When we wake up
to nothing.
