Rating: Erm...maybe PG-15? Just a little action, and two disturbing scenes.
Warnings: This is yaoi, also known as slash. Male/Male love. If you don't like it, don't read. Simple as that. ::smile::
Feedback: YES. Constructive criticism is a gift. Flamers aren't. They are used...to cook all of the stupid phones in the world (god, how I HATE phones).
Butterfly Segment
The swinging doors flew open, startling Basil. He turned, his crystal eyes wide with fright. Casually, Chase, Ashley, and Megan strode in, eyeing Basil strangely. It had been three years- THREE YEARS –since the three last saw Basil, forgetting him. Basil cringed, memories of their taunting brought back. Then, there was the shoving, and the snake…and the blood-
“Oh my God!” Ashley blinked slowly, memory returning. Basil got up to leave, but the preppy blonde had already gotten in front of him. As she inspected him closely, Basil froze, memories surfacing in his mind.
/ “Aww, poor little Bas can’t stand Mr. Coil? What a wimp!” /
“Ashley?” Megan walked towards her, eyes catching Basil’s. The momentary connection of the gems clashed dangerously, ripping through Basil’s mind.
/ “What would happen if the snake was put on him? Like, around his neck?” /
The girls were speechless. Basil attempted to exit then, but Chase got squarely in front of him, black orbs gleaming with amusement. There was a constant showing in Basil’s mind as he fell into Chase’s pits, mind falling into oblivion.
/ “Don’t worry Basil; it won’t kill you…unless you provoke it. Then you’ll end up like your daddy.” /
“Well, well…if it isn’t Basil.”
/ “Take off his shirt, Chase. Who knows; you might like the creep!”
“Come on, Ash. You know I don’t go for the ugly ones.”
“Ooh, I think Mr. Coil wants a kiss! Here Basil, give him a wet one…and put a little love in it for your old, or should I say, dead man.” /
Ashley and Megan each smirked in turn, eyes lighting up. Basil felt trapped again, pushed up against the wall; those teeth breaking into his skin-
“-Is it really you? Wow, you look completely-” Ashley searched for a word as she looked her captured prey up and down, “-hot.” Giggling resounded, pounding Basil’s ears with a painful beat.
“I thought you died! But, wow- where have you been?” Morgan brushed up close to him, making him step forward.
-It’s as if…nothing ever happened. Do they not remember?-
As Basil stepped forward, he ran into Chase. Their touch seemed like fire, and Basil tried to jump away from it. Chase, however, smiled darkly, stepping closer. Basil was surrounded; injured.
/ “Look! Oh my G-!”
“Shit. That looks serious. Let’s go.” /
/ “See you in hell, Bas.” /
“Ooh! Meg, let’s go get drinks!” Ashley grabbed her friend by her arm, pulling her off. The two disappeared behind the swinging doors, leaving Basil and Chase alone.
The hum of the AC sounded too loud for Basil.
/ “-in hell, Bas.” /
“You’ve changed for the better, I see.” Chase stepped forward again, coming closer to Basil. Basil edged away, diverting his eyes from the lusting pitch ones. Blood was covering his memory.
/ “-looks serious. Let’s go.”
“What if someone saw us-?”
“Who cares? No one would notice if he dies. It’ll be like smashing a bug. No one will notice; no one will care.”
“Guess you’re right. We’ll be like, doing the world a favor. Come on.”
Paired darkness looked down on the fallen Basil. A sick smile cracked his blurring vision.
“See you in hell, Bas.” /
Basil’s back was completely flat against the wall, his thin shirt making his body feel bare. Chase grinned, placing two hands on each side of Basil’s head. Breaking crystals were consumed by Chase’s black ones, shattering the priceless gems. The room fell into a deep silence as Chase leaned forward, face just inches away from Basil’s. The door clicked; locked.
-No way out.-
“God, you look so freaking different. You use to be ugly, but now-” Chase breath was hot on Basil’s face, filing the scared boy with tension, “-you’re simply…beautiful. How could you have ever been so hideous?” Chase used one of his hands to sweep his fingers across Basil’s cheek. Basil winced from the touch, sanity wavering away, leaving him alone once again.
/ “Don’t worry Basil, it won’t kill you…” /
/ “Come on, Ash. You know I don’t go for the ugly ones.” /
/ “See you in hell, Bas.” /
“No.” Basil whispered, pressing one cheek against the cool wall. The world was blurring. Wings were spreading.
“No?” Chase smiled, darkness amused with delight, “Do you think I care about what you want? Or is this about…” his grin grew insanely, “…that day?”
/ “-or should I say, dead man.”
The snake was brought closer to the terrified Basil as he struggled against Chase’s grip. As its cool scales made contact with his soft flesh, he screamed, surprising the reptile. In reflex, the snake bore its fangs into Basil’s neck, horrifying the scream max-fold. The constant anguish was sweet sound on his tormentor’s ears. Ashley screamed from delight.
“Look! Oh my g-!”
Basil looked over into Chase’s eyes at that moment. They were laughing at his as he whispered soundless words of humor.
---Got you--- /
“Yes, that day was surprising, for the all of us,” Chase rambled on, fingers caressing Basil’s face, “but it seemed necessary. Isn’t that why you left? To become this ‘new you’?” His smile seemed genuine, even though it was fake. Basil wasn’t looking though as he struggled to leave the room and get away. Chase made sure that wouldn’t happen. Basil drew sweet breath.
“Let me go, Chase.”
“Or you’ll what? Scream for your dead daddy?” The hit was like a harsh slap to Basil’s face as he turned to look Chase in the eyes. The black pits were dancing again, enjoying Basil’s weakness. The candle in the room flickered repeatedly, reflecting dark light in Chase’s eyes. Basil looked towards the door, then back to Chase.
“No, but I will scream.” The silence stood firm. Chase glared.
“I see you’ve acquired a little spunk; huh? Kinky.” Chase stepped even closer to Basil, filling the space between the two as he dropped his hands down to Basil’s waist. Basil began to struggle, attempting to push Chase’s hands off of his hips. The older of the two smirked, making his grip on Basil tight enough to the point that Basil felt Chase’s fingers digging into his sides. The older boy smiled at his capture. Leaning his head centimeters from Basil’s ear, Chase’s breath dampened his prey’s skin.
“You won’t be able to get away…not now…not ever.” With that, Chase took Basil’s earlobe between his lips, biting the soft skin. Basil shivered, gooseflesh overcoming his being. Chase let go of Basil’s hips, instead letting his hands touch other parts of the child’s body; his stomach, his back, and lower-
“NO!” Basil’s abrupt scream rung throughout the empty room, startling Chase. Basil tried to push the bigger man off of him, brain racking through unwanted memories. His eyelids were shut so tightly to the point that Basil began to see stars, along with a flash of the past…before anything had ever happen.
/ “Basil.” With a shove, the eight year old was thrown across the room, falling to the carpet to create a rug burn. The honey-haired child whimpered, eyes swelling up with the usual tears. The door behind the towering figure was slammed shut, silencing the crying coming from the other side. The boy continued to sob on dreaded tears.
“You weren’t-” Stepping closer to the boy, the man from the shadows reached into his pocket to pull out his wallet, throwing it to the floor.
“-supposed to-” This time a pack of cigarettes was pulled out, which also fell from his grasp.
“-come HOME!” Finally, a lighter was revealed, filled with clear fluid. The boy mentally shuddered, eyes clamped shut to the point that all he saw was shooting stars. The next time he opened his eyes, his shirt was aflame, bringing the smell of burnt flesh to his nose. A scream broke the silence.
“NO! Please, fath-!” A hand stopped the cry of pain, forcing the child to watch as his torso was burnt a raw, bright red. Crimson began to pour from the wound, and the man finally put out the fire. In short gasps, the child let his cerulean eyes tear up, looking up into the eyes of the man in front of him. The monster grinned, placing a delicate kiss on the boy’s forehead. Basil cringed, lips trembling to form a single word.
“…fath…er…” /
“NOT AGAIN! FATHER-!” Chase stopped, pulling away from the younger child. Basil, eyes wide open now, was trembling continuously, crystal orbs trapped with tears. Chase continued to watch the blonde as he sunk to the floor, hands covering his ears desperately. Words flashed through Basil’s mind as many scenes, most once forgotten, replayed in his mind. Basil let his ocean depths conceal their pain, his fingers driving their way into his skull. A harsh pounding filled with heat thumped in Basil’s ears.
“…father?” Chase faltered, stepping closer to Basil once again. Confusion racked Chase’s brain as he stared down at the fallen angel, black orbs reflecting his confusion. Basil, after hearing Chase’s whispered comment, slowly lifted his head to look up at the towering man, bloodied hands falling to his sides. His crystal orbs were filled with desperate hope, grasping at sanity with an already broken mind.
“You won’t leave me again, will you?”
