Moment

Young passions flew impossibly high that night
When you leaned in and your lips touched mine
The moon was full and bright, bathing us both
In a silvery glow

Your dancing fingers felt like feathers on my skin
I felt as one with you when you pulled me close
You were the only one able to take my heart of ice
And melt it

Electrifying, thrilling, exhilarating, gripping—
Words cannot begin to describe the pure energy
The raw ardor and excitement flying that night
Right between us

It felt like I gazed into your eyes for an eternity
Staring into those twin pools of intense liquid fire
Wondering about these fierce emotions that I knew
I was reflecting

In that single moment of heightened senses
Time seemed to grind to a halt, letting us hang
Suspended in our fervor, forever, just you, me
And the naked sky
