The Land of Misery

In the Land of Misery
Everything is free
No worries about people
No thoughts of dreams escape
Your mind always foggy
In this Land of Misery

Heavy hangs your head in grief
In what I couldn’t tell you
Your happiness at present may be brief
The love that encases you now
Will soon wither and die
Welcome to the Land of Misery

I hope your stay is short
I hope your suffering ends
But when you go I will stay
And keep house for any who may return
This great place—the Land of Misery

It is time for spring-cleaning
Get rid of these dusty fears
Think of something new for once
I will throw away your tears
I am the keeper here in the Land of Misery

Rest your weary feet for a bit
I will burn your sorrows
Take with you no rusty implement
You’ll soon be gone and happy
I will stay and clean up after you
In the Land of Misery

Do not fret over me
I am only here to serve
Gray clouds may also hang on me
But your joy makes me smile
Leave as soon as you can
Get out of the Land of Misery

Space for rent
Cry out your heart
I will listen to your woe
Let it out and let it go
I will help to heal your soul
In this Land of Misery…
