Cassandra Spells, typical teenager, would be president of the class, only problem, her radical views and interesting way of displaying them.
“And so, as we, the future, become Seniors, I’d like to say one thing: You are a bunch of bloody conformitists, grow up and be your own person.”
Cassy sat down on a seat next to the podium. She hadn’t expected a round of applause after her speech, but she wasn’t expecting utter silence either. Frowning, she pulled her green and blue stripped knee sock further up, and glanced out at the audience, the silence was intoxicating, and she felt a hang over coming on, everyone was watching her as though she was crazy. She was relieved when the headmaster got up, giving her a quick glance, as he stood at the podium.
“Ahem… A great thanks to Cassandra Spells, for her thoroughly… insightful speech… I’d like you all to remember that the parking spots to the RIGHT of this building are for seniors, now please go and enjoy your last year of high school education.”
The auditorium quickly emptied, as the students filled out in as orderly a fashion as students possibly can manage. Cassandra was left with a group of fuming teachers, and members of the PTA to deal with.
