To Paradise
By Duchess of Darkness (K)

Beating and beating my heart races on.
I can hardly stand the rush I get
Step after step I head for the end.
The roar around me deafens my ears
And I become ignorant of all others.
I imagine the world to slow down
Even though I move so quickly.
At the the end she waits for me.
Like an enchantress she beckons.
Will there be flowers and happiness waiting?
My strive pushes me forward.
I wonder: is she for me or someone else?
Who will she give those flowers to?
Who will she take?
Perhaps she's for me---
How maddening!
Will there be flashes?
Has a live news crew come for me?
What about the others---
How can they live through the thought of not precessing me?
I can see it now: headlines, live news, people talking.
It'll be everywhere.
She must be for me - has to be.
Nothing can stray me from what I have to live for.

AN: Please tell me what you think. Remember, it's a poem personifying death and I would like to know if you see who it is. Please tell me what you think! Thank you.
