Broken Pieces

A burning sensation

filling my body, mind, and soul

with joy-

rapturous it is

to find that one person

who fulfills all needs-

happiness undescribable

yet

one part chipped away

and it all crashes to the bottom-

millions of shards littering the heart

wounds from trying to fix

those broken pieces never healed-

tears drop from sad eyes

the mind

unable to comprehend

what went wrong
