Go On
So many are told
Not to hold it inside,
‘You’ll only go cold,’
That it’s alright to cry.
That fury can no be contained,
It will consume you,
And the only way to survive,
Is to let it loose.
That sadness should be shared,
Or your heat will die,
That your pain will leave
If you don’t hold it inside.
No one will cry in the rain,
Bowed down against the earth,
Singing with thunder of their pain,
And pouring out, alone, their hurt.
No one will scream to the sky,
The only witness Memory,
Of how all the know is a lie,
And bare to mute life all that they believe.
And no one will stand before the moon,
With steady passion, void of dance,
And silently let their soul croon
Of painful acceptance.
So much is lost when you share,
An inner strength is gone,
Oh, you need to beware,
Of how others will twist your song.
Laugh high to the sunlight
And dance with speckled shadows,
Let your heart sing instead of your throat,
Explore alone the unknown.
Its alright to cry
When beauty overwhelms you.
And to only sigh
When another’s pain is true.
And when other’s wonder
At how you won’t share,
And try to tare asunder
For all that you care,
And they tell you to release,
And no treasure all you feel,
And that it’s time to cease
Making Life’s wonder’s real:
You can cry,
Of you can laugh;
Just don’t lie
About yourself.
For your pain matters,
Just as much as joy,
To loose it is sadder,
Then forgetting your hope.
Don’t despair
At another’s ignorance,
Don’t you dare
Let them cease your dance.
Go on Singing,
and Crying,
and Dancing,
and keep on Living,
don’t you ever stop Singing inside.
