Shining ice the surface gleams

Cold and hard, smooth to the touch

No impressions made upon

No touch can linger for long

How do you break ice, or stone?

Mortal powers leave no marks

Humans fail the test of time

Not so your god-like glamour

Exterior rough

Your defenses are up

Penetrate? Impossible

Protect the spirit within

Sparkling glass reflects your gaze

Never lets you see inside

But contained in that ice cage

Is exactly the inverse

Light flowing, brightly gleaming

Silent screams of rage escape

Pounding fists, your knuckles torn

Blood and salty tears mingle

Still, nothing helps, you can’t go

Captured for eternity

And you must stay in this place

Yet what treasure lies herein?

Can you imagine the pain?

Fragile wings, slender figure

Angel trapped in hell on earth

Crying, dying, never seen

Delicate, but fighting

Always yearning to see the sky

Existence seems futile

Why struggle for nothingness?

Exactly. It’s pointless.

One last time I breathe deeply

And throw myself against it

It cracks! It breaks! Free at last!

But my screaming heart is pierced

I take one last deep, sweet breath

And let myself fall in flame

Ice demon perish in pain
