Sitting here with my carrots and dip…

Nothing romantic about that.

Thinking about the past-

What’s the point in saying it?

Isn’t it funny?

How we all just turn around?

Sitting in our bedrooms,

Hoping not to be found.

I’m tired of this,

And I’m letting go,

This isn’t what life was meant for-

But you knew that.

But I keep on eating,

Though I’m skinny as a twig,

Drinking down my orange juice,

You all know it’s my favorite.

We used to play that game remember?

And spin on the merry-go-round?

I guess those days are over,

Since all my home work’s not done.

I’m running out of dip now,

My carrot bowl’s still full,

How romantic is this?

Sitting all alone with my carrots in a bowl,

Then a friend signs on,

Complaining of there day,

Not bothering to ask-

“How are you by the way?”

How sweet are they?

As I my dip runs out,

My carrot bowl’s still full,

And my orange juice is half and half.

How sweet when they leave,

With out a simple good-bye,

I still got my carrots,

Going to get my dip,

And with my favorite orange juice,

I’m going to continue my romantic evening….
