The Rising of the Moon

Verse 1

The light in the sky is messing with my head,
Go away, go away,
'Cause it's driving me crazy.
Why can't you give me some peace instead?
Set me free, set me free,
Feeling tortured by the one who made me.

Verse 2

You'll never ever find anyone like me,
See my life, see my life,
Tell me now; am I in danger?
I'll never be worthy of what I could be,
Here I am, here I am,
Saved by one who lay in a manger.

Chorus

It's the rising of the moon,
And it's making me mad.
He'll be here soon,
And I know I've been bad.
The time is at hand,
I've seen all the proof.
Why can't I understand,
The blinding truth?

Verse 3

Of all the things that are in this place,
Why this? Why this?
All the things I can't ammend.
Staring death right in the face,
This is it, this is it,
It's all coming to an end.

Bridge

To walk the straight and narrow path,
Escape his wrath,
We need one another.
Got to have our family,
So plain to see,
A sister or brother.
But who here will make it?
Don't fake it,
Offer to above.
I'll always be there for you,
Care for you,
In this walk, I just need somebody to love.
