An emotional rollercoaster
Dipping and rising
Flying and crashing
Skidding along slick, oily tracks.

Riding on high
Landsliding down low
Never to a peaceful lull
Does my life ever seem to go.

The second I feel my heart beat fast
The joy of the moment never seems to last.
Suddenly I'm falling
A free-fall of feelings.
I don't know how to end this maniacal ride;
From it I keep on reeling.

So now there's nothing to do but hold on tight.
The gravity pulling me back down, I can't seem to fight.
And maybe when it's all said and done
I'll be able to fly back
Into the rising sun.
