A Thousand Insecurities

I look down upon the crimson flow

It’s oozing from my flesh

My masochistic desires consume my thoughts

More it tells me

The droplets fall to the ice cold floor

Scarlet shards of gloomy pain

The only pain I can control

Smooth silver, shiny-red, crystal tears

Why has it come to this?

-

A thousand insecurities flood my mind

Life seems to bare down a little harder

The stress pushes the blade deeper

The pools of blood grow larger

Melancholy soaks my broken spirit

As blood soaks the cloth, wet with tears

-

Silent whispers of despair float away and vanish

My screaming wounds dispel all hope

Omniscient shadows hide the dancing flames

Turn away, Turn away!

-

I choke, I bleed, I cry, I move on

Hatred runs ramped in my veins

My indefinite emotions destroy all love

My heart is empty

Why has it come to this?
