CONTRAST WITH THE RAIN

Totally forgotten

And empty and breaking

I don’t understand

Why in dreams

I die naked.

Curiosity is strong

While the skin is so soft

And tears

Grace the silk white cushions as they fall

I hum to amuse

I hum to bemuse

I wink and I smile

Just to smother the truth.

Twinkling trust

Like the dust in the sun

The heavens opened

And the sun came undone

My hair becomes heavy

My body moist

As we walked together

You never noticed.

Fingertips of cold silk

With a hand of cool metal

My cheek is graced

I close my eyes.

The rain never stops pouring inside.

Because

All these thoughts from existence have died.
