Disclaimers ‘n’ crap: Haihai peeps! This is a little poem inspired by pretty much every death scene I’ve read. Read, review, enjoy!

I lie here on the floor,

Hand at my side.

My wound is mortal,

I won’t last long.

Did I accomplish everything

In my life?

I got a job.

I married my wife.

I raised my kids.

I fought a menace

And lost.

Now I remember,

That old climbing tree

In my old backyard

From when I was a boy.

I vowed to reach the top

Someday.

I never did.

And now,

I never will.

Too late for that now.

I’m slipping into darkness,

Darkness.
