The Ship Sails Away

Watching the ship sail away,

It brings a chorus of tears.

I know that nothing can stay.

The sea blends like a Monet.

Birds sing a song for my ear.

I watch the ship sail away.

People come and go their way.

Some do this within a year,

And I know nothing will stay.

On my mind, a damp fog lays,

Even though the sky is clear,

Watching my ship sail away.

Flying fish jump through the bay,

Heading to a place not near.

I know that nothing will stay.

Dragons fly through the sun’s ray,

As I whisper “Goodbye dear.”

I watch the ship sail away,

And I know nothing will stay.
